Choose the Roborock Saros Z70 if you want one robot that vacuums, mops, empties itself and tidies socks off the floor. Choose the Dyson 360 Vis Nav only if you want a vacuum-only robot and can find one: Dyson UK marks it out of stock and "no longer available". Both make the same 22,000Pa suction claim, so suction isn't the deciding factor.

The suction myth

You will see 22,000Pa credited to the Dyson as if it were unique. It is not: Roborock rates the Saros Z70 at 22,000Pa too, and Dyson additionally quotes 65AW (air watts) on its US site. The two makers measure under different test standards, so the numbers can't be compared head to head.

What the 22,000Pa figures actually mean

Pascals (Pa) measure suction pressure. Air watts (AW) combine pressure with airflow. Roborock cites an IEC 62885-2 test in its Max+ mode; Dyson's 22,000Pa and "six times the suction" claims rest on its own testing in Boost mode against 2022 market data. Both are manufacturer claims. Independent, hands-on reviews are a better guide to real-world pick-up than either number.

Roborock Saros Z70

The strategic win

The most complete package here: vacuum, hot-water mopping and a dock that does the dirty work. The arm moves light clutter out of the way so the robot can clean where it would otherwise stop.

The technical catch

The arm only handles light items (under about 300g) from a set list, and some owner reviews on Roborock's own UK store describe it failing to pick items up. You pay a large premium for it over Roborock's arm-less flagships.

Dyson 360 Vis Nav

The strategic win

A powerful, HEPA-filtered vacuum-only robot with a full-width brush bar, if you can find one at a sensible price.

The technical catch

No mopping, no auto-empty dock and a 0.5L bin you empty yourself. Dyson UK lists it as no longer available, which raises questions about long-term parts and support. (Dyson says security software updates run until 31/12/31.)

The verdict

For most homes in 2026 the Saros Z70 is the more capable machine, but at £1,599 you're paying mainly for the arm. If you don't need it, a non-arm flagship mop-and-vacuum robot will do the floors for less. We'd only chase a Dyson 360 Vis Nav if you find genuine new stock well below Dyson's list price.

Frequently asked questions

Does the Dyson 360 Vis Nav have more suction than the Roborock Saros Z70?

Both makers claim 22,000Pa. Dyson also quotes 65AW on its US site. They test differently, so the figures can't be compared directly; independent reviews are a better guide.

Can I buy the Roborock Saros Z70 in the UK?

Roborock UK lists it at £1,599, but it was out of stock on 6 November 2026. Check other UK retailers.

Is the Dyson 360 Vis Nav discontinued?

Does the Dyson 360 Vis Nav mop?

No. It is a vacuum-only robot. The Saros Z70 vacuums and mops, with a dock that washes its mops in 80°C water.
