Best robot vacuums 2026 by budget
The short answer: our top pick overall is the Roborock Saros 20: 36,000 Pa suction, a camera-and-3D-sensor obstacle system and a dock that empties, washes and dries itself. It was £899 in the UK when we checked, but it costs $1,599.99 in the US. The best budget pick is the Roborock Q7 M5: £129.99 / $229.99 gets you LiDAR mapping, 10,000 Pa suction and a mop, but no dock.
How this guide works. We have not tested any of these robots. Every pick is sourced: prices come from retailer and manufacturer pages we checked on 7 November 2026, and specs are as the maker states them. Suction (Pa) figures are the makers' own claims, measured in their own labs. They are not independent and are not directly comparable between brands. There are no affiliate links on this page.

- Mop: Yes. Spinning mops that Dreame says self-clean at 100 °C, with hot-air drying
- Self-empty base: Yes. All-in-one base that auto-empties into a 3.2 L bag (Dreame spec sheet), and washes, dries and refills the mops

- Suction (maker-stated): 15,000 Pa

- Self-empty base: Yes. 5-in-1 station: dust emptying, mop washing, refilling, hot-air drying and wastewater collection

- The catch: The UK price swings a lot by colour and store, and the sensor type isn't published.
£600 to £1,000
Roborock Saros 20: best overall
- UK price: £899 at Amazon UK (sold by Roborock Official UK; RRP £1,299, "limited time deal") and £899 at Roborock UK. The "Saros 20 Set" option is £1,309. Checked 7 Nov 2026.
- US price: $1,599.99 at Roborock US. Best Buy doesn't carry the plain Saros 20. Checked 7 Nov 2026.

- Mop: Yes. Dual rotating mops with up to 13 N of downward pressure. The mops detach for carpets.

- The catch: It has a camera (with a video-call feature). The £899 UK price is a promotion against a £1,299 RRP. US buyers pay much more for the same model.
eufy Omni E35: premium roller mop with day-and-night vision
- UK price: £999 at Currys and £999 at eufy UK, checked 7 Nov 2026

- Who it suits: Homes with long hair or pets (eufy claims tangle-free for hair up to 50 cm) and lots of hard floor
- The catch: It has a camera, and the price sits at the top of this band. eufy says robots it launched in 2026 come with a 2-year guarantee and local repair.
£1,000 and up

- Obstacle avoidance: AI OmniSight 3.0: two AI cameras plus side 3D structured light and LEDs. Dreame says it recognises 320+ object types.
- Who it suits: Larger homes with steps between rooms. Dreame states 5.2 cm single and 10 cm double thresholds.

Buying checklist
Pets
- Look for anti-tangle brushes. All ten picks claim some form of anti-tangle or hair-cutting brush.
- If pet accidents are a worry, pick a robot with camera-based object recognition (the Saros 20, Omni E35 or X60 Pro Ultra) rather than LiDAR-only navigation.
- Self-emptying matters more with shedding pets. A bin-only robot like the Q7 M5 fills fast.
Carpets and rugs
- Check whether the mop lifts or detaches on carpet. The Saros 20 detaches its mops. The L50 Ultra AE and Qrevo S5V lift theirs. The Tapo can steer round rugs you mark as carpet.
- For deep pile, look for a stated pile height or lift. Roborock quotes 3 cm (1.18 in) for the Saros 20, and eufy quotes up to 5 cm for the Omni S2.
- Check threshold height against your door sills. They range from 18 mm (Tapo) to 10 cm double steps (Dreame X60 Pro Ultra).
Stairs and multi-floor homes
- No robot vacuum here climbs stairs. You carry it between floors.
- Drop or cliff sensors stop it falling. Tapo, for example, lists "Avoids Drops and Stairs".
- Look for multi-floor maps. Roborock says the Qrevo S5V stores up to 4 floors, and Tapo lists "3+1" maps. A dock on each floor costs extra. Otherwise, choose a model light enough to carry.
Mopping
- Pads vs rollers: Spinning pads (Roborock, Dreame) are washed in the dock. Roller mops (eufy C28, E35, S2) rinse themselves as they clean.
- Dock washing: Budget picks (Q7 M5, Q10 S5+, Tapo) only drag a damp cloth. Washing and drying the mop in the dock starts with the Qrevo S5V in our list.
- Hot-water washing (the Saros 20, E35, L50 Ultra AE and X60 Pro Ultra) is the makers' answer to dock odour. The temperatures quoted are the makers' own.
No-go zones
- Every pick maps with LiDAR or dToF, so you can draw no-go zones in the app.
- Roborock's app can also suggest no-go zones on the Saros 20. Use zones for pet bowls, cable nests and tasselled rugs.
Camera privacy
- The Saros 20, Omni E35 and X60 Pro Ultra Complete carry cameras. The Saros 20 even supports video calls through the app.
- If you'd rather not have a camera in the house, the Q7 M5, Q10 S5+, Tapo RV30 Max Plus Gen 2 and Qrevo S5V list LiDAR or structured light, not a camera.
- Before buying any camera model, read the maker's privacy policy. Check whether images are processed on the device or in the cloud, and whether you can turn off camera features. Roborock runs a public "Trust Center" page.

Black Friday price history: should you wait?
Black Friday is 27 November 2026 and Cyber Monday is 30 November 2026.
- Robot vacuum prices already dipped in October. The Robot Radar, which tracks Amazon UK prices using camelcamelcamel data, reported on 5 November 2026 that the Roborock Q7 M5 hit £120 on 17 October (average £166). The Qrevo S5V hit £370 on 17 October and 2 November. The eufy Omni S2 hit £1,299 on 20 October.
- Store prices move independently. On 7 November, Roborock's own UK store already had the Q7 M5 at £129.99 and the Qrevo S5V at £369.99, close to those Amazon lows. Currys listed the Dreame L50 Ultra AE at £399 against a £549 price it says applied from 7 to 27 October.
- Black Friday itself is rarely the cheapest day. Which? tracked 175 appliances at eight UK retailers around Black Friday 2024. It found 83% were the same price or cheaper at least once outside the sales period, and none were at their lowest price of the year on Black Friday itself. One example was a Samsung Jet Bot robot vacuum at John Lewis: £350 on Black Friday, after being £299 for 29 days in May and June 2024.
- US: Roborock's US store was advertising a Black Friday sale starting 19 November when we checked.
Our sourced advice: If a pick is at or near its recorded low, the wait may not be worth it. Check its price history on camelcamelcamel (Amazon) or PriceSpy (UK stores) rather than trusting the "was" price. In the UK you can usually cancel an online order within 14 days of delivery under the Consumer Contracts Regulations. Check the seller's terms first.

Frequently asked questions
Which robot vacuum is best overall in 2026?
On our sourced specs and 7 November prices, it's the Roborock Saros 20.
